More and Better Public Transportation!

Congress will soon make far-reaching decisions about our transportation system in the federal transportation bill. Congress should take this opportunity to fund public transportation, not more new, massive highway projects that don’t address our fundamental transportation problems.

Dear Member of Congress:

As you know, next year Congress will consider a bill that sets our nation’s transportation agenda for six years. This is a historic opportunity to create more and better public transportation, which will reduce our dependence on oil, cut global warming pollution and ease traffi c congestion. I encourage you to help solve these problems by investing in new rail, rapid bus systems and subway projects over massive highway expansions in the next transportation bill.
